Forbes magazine recently released its list of “America’s Best Places to Raise a Family,” ranking U.S. counties with populations over 65,000 on such qualities as the local school system, cost of living, per-capita income, air quality, crime rate and commute time.

According to the latest Zillow Real Estate Market Report, home values in Chester, NJ decreased 4.40%; hackettstown, NJ 6.6%; Mendham, NJ 7.4%; Long Valley, NJ 4.3%, in the second quarter of 2008. compared to the second quarter of 2007. Nationally, home values decreased 9.9% during this same period.
